Contiki reviews reddit
Contiki : Just a place to chat about Contiki , touring and travel in general. When I had called Contiki to inquire months previous to the trip, I had also questioned the travel in between countries. I get extremely motion sick so this was a huge concern of mine. I was told that the travel between countries would never exceed 4-hours, which I felt was doable.
I did a contiki years ago- it was a turkish sailing which cost about $8for the week, including almost all meals. It has easily been part of the best trip I have ha and was very relaxing and a lot of fun. It was not a typical bus around Europe type of trip and had a large range of ages, from 18- early thirties. What does Contiki mean?
Are Contiki Tours for You? There was only other single person but we got along fine so no biggie there. Everyone was friendly, and it was nice to have the whole itinerary taken care of. At least hours in a bus every other day. Spending at most two nights in a city.
Contiki is more party oriented and tends to swing younger in age (usually predominantly under 24.) Busabout is less party and more culture and country and has a wider spread of ages. I went through countries in days. I’m coming to prefer this as I creep to 30.
Just my opinion of course :) feel free to message me about which trips I’ve done with the companies and such. Great options for bussing between locations, they have tours and events as well but basically EVERYONE is coming and going at different times (as opposed to Contiki where everyone is together on a set tour for a set amount of time) so everyone will split and go do. It was through a friend that I heard of Contiki tours and soon after I found myself on not only one, but three different tours back to back. This would be my first time trying contiki and my first time in Europe. The reviews I read on the contiki site are mostly positive, but I feel they may be biased.
I’m so excited to share with you my Contiki Tour review today! I’ve been on Contiki tours over the past few years, and they were all in Europe. I did my trip, Contiki Tours (Superior) Road to Athens tour in September. It was a wonderful way to see many cities in a short period of time. Also got to meet a lot of great people.
The Contiki cough is very real and rampit on the bus. This trip felt very fast, i still want to go back to a few countries. According to TourRadar reviews from past Topdeck and Contiki passengers, both operators score the same for meals provided on tour.
On my Contiki Europe tour, the food was relatively basic but perfectly edible. We ate in some quaint local family-run restaurants, and experiencing life as the locals do is precisely what travelling is all about. I hope you all enjoy my review on the Contiki trip i just finished! When I was planning my Contiki trip, I read a lot of Contiki reviews to see if it was the fun I thought it would be. One of the biggest fears I consistently saw was that people were afraid of doing a Contiki alone.
It’s scary flying overseas to a new land and meeting a bunch of strangers! But here’s the thing with Contiki. No reviews from brand new Reddit accounts will be accepted.
